## Summary
- Drawing helps us understand systems and relationships. **Nodes & links**.
- Iteration produces better system models.
- Group notes crate more comprehensive system models because they are **synthesized with multiple points of view**.
- The act of visualization produces clearer outcomes.
- Conversation refines nodes and forms links.
- Drawing processes **clarity**.
- Drawing collaboratively processes **alignment**.
## Notes
### Nodes and links
- How a system works can be visualized through images (nodes). These images are then connected together to form a sequence and creating a larger picture (links). Therefore, a systems model can be expressed through nodes and links.
### Visualizing ideas
- A simple and incredibly effective exercise would be to draw instructions for making toast. This is because everyone knows what toast is and roughly how to make it.
- For simpler systems, it is most effective to have between 5-13 nodes. To few, and there's a loss of detail. Too many, and the instructions become overwhelming.
### Iteration
- Having ideas on movable cards allows for you to quickly rearrange, categorize, iterate, and ultimately refine your ideas. Repeat this as much as possible until you achieve maximum clarity.
### Group synthesis
- When a group does this activity, it creates a much more comprehensive systems model because it is synthesized from multiple points of view.
