## Summary
- Most resist change. Target those who welcome it.
- Create demand. Create a movement.
## Notes
### Change is constant
- "Do you need to change? No? I'd be worried."
- The answer is always yes. There's **always change**. There's always **opportunity** to improve something.
- [[People don't fear change. They fear sudden change.]]
- Sudden changes feels **threatening**. It disrupts routine, requiring people to think more in order to react and respond to change.
- Change management - Normally, we treat it rationally - almost **mechanically**. However, in doing so, we ignore the **emotional response** to that change.
- Infinite mindset - [[Embrace uncertainty. See opportunity and surprise.]]
- People **fear** that they may not know how to change 9for the better) or that it may set them back.
### Law of diffusion
- The first 2.5% of the population are "big idea" people. 13.5% are early adopters. Willing to pay a premium, suffer inconveniences, to be part of something they believe in.
- The rest are early and late majority, with the mindset of, "What's in it for me?"
- Example: There's a lone dancer who dances. Early adopters join. More join. Suddenly, everyone is dancing. It became a **movement**.
- When we want to **make change**, we want to affect the majority, but that's not how change happens. The majority will not change unless others change first.
- ==Aim for the early adopters. Over time, the **majority** will **demand** it.==
