## Notes
- Anticipation is felt by many, so too will disappointment. If you're lucky, so too will understanding.
- Delays, or an amendment to promises, cause a cascading effect of reactive change.
- To delay is to amend a promise. Only do so for good and responsible reasons.
- With amendment comes higher expectation of value - to receive more or better tomorrow in exchange for disappointment today. These expectations should be communicated. Otherwise they will be conjured through subjective and emotional perception.
- [[There must be better in exchange for later]].
- A delayed piece of work means a more polished piece of work.
- [[A late game is only late until it ships. A bad game is bad until the end of time.]]
- [[A delayed game is eventually good, but a rushed game is bad forever]].
- A delayed game means less crunch. Consider the human effort required to deliver the work.
- [[For us, one of our key tenants is we bring smiles to people's faces.]]
- [[Do your best to bring smiles to the faces and hearts of others]].
- [[You can't create a good experience if you're having a bad one]].
- [[Never leave people empty handed]].
- Give them something small now to hold them over for something big later.
- Recognize the legitimate reasons for disappointment. The point isn't to pretend that it doesn't exist or to blame. It is to compromise and support to empathize and to care. In doing so, your goal is to preserve as much trust as you can. If you're lucky, you may even gain some trust in return for your efforts.
- [[To manage change is to manage trust]].
